August 2, 2023 (Mandeville, LA) – Covington Trace ER & Hospital hosted its highly-anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating the facility’s official grand opening on Thursday, July 27.

Over the past week, the Covington Trace ER & Hospital’s Staff, St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper, Mandeville Mayor Clay Madden, Nutex Health affiliates, and dozens of members in the local Mandeville community gathered to celebrate the opening of the state-of-the-art facility, Covington Trace ER & Hospital. The ceremony featured speeches from Parish President Copper and Mayor Madden, who both presented Covington Trace ER & Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Matthew Benard, with certificates.

The community members had a chance to enjoy local favorites at the event, featuring Ruth’s Frozen Treats’ snowballs and Abita Brewing Company’s root beer and hop water.
