MANDEVILLE, La. (July 22, 2024) – On Thursday, June 27, Covington Trace ER & Hospital celebrated its first anniversary by hosting community members at the emergency room facility. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the hospital’s achievements over the past year and its commitment to serving Mandeville and beyond.

The specialty hospital celebrated its first year of service by welcoming over 80 community members and special guests, including Parish President Mike Cooper and the first responders from St. Tammany Fire District 4. The firemen brought one of their fire trucks for photo opportunities. The event featured drinks from Campbell Coffee, snowballs from Loula’s, cake pops and cupcakes from Prissy’s Pop Shoppe, and spine scans by Spinecare Chiropractic for all.

“As the first neighborhood ER and Hospital in Mandeville, we take great pride in providing accessible, high-quality care that our community deserves and can find nowhere else,” said Matthew Bernard, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Covington Trace ER & Hospital. “The resounding message from our community is one of appreciation for immediate access to care and personalized and respectful treatment, so our first anniversary had to be celebrated with the community to show them how much we appreciate their support.”

Without the staff’s dedication and the community’s support, the success seen over the past year would not be possible. Covington Trace ER & Hospital only anticipates more for the community as the medical facility continues to provide exceptional and convenient care as the go-to neighborhood hospital.

“As we reflect on our inaugural year, the achievements and impact are truly remarkable. Providing care to thousands in our ER, admitting hundreds to our hospital, and fulfilling numerous outpatient needs, we’ve made significant strides in local healthcare,” said Dr. Bernard.

Open 24/7, 365 days a year, Covington Trace ER & Hospital is here to provide comprehensive medical care without the wait.
